Canadian marine scientists managed to capture and discover an ancient giant white shark with a length of 5.2 meters and a weight of more than 1600 kg, and described it as a “beast” because of its strange shape and its large size compared to the same family of white sharks.

Researchers from Ocearch Ocean Research were working in waters off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, last Saturday when they discovered this great white shark and named it “Nokomi.”

The organization also tweeted on its Twitter social media platform page that this shark is a “mature white shark”, describing it as “the queen of the ocean.”

The researchers wrote in a post on the Facebook platform: “We called her Nokomi, but she speaks noo-go-mi, Tima like the mythical and wise grandmother of the Native American Mikmac.”

It should be noted that Nokomi is one of the eight giant white sharks that were tagged and caught during the Ocearch organization’s voyage in Nova Scotia, and according to a report issued by CNN, its length is 5.24 meters and its weight is 1606 kilograms, and it is the largest shark that ever lived. Catch it at all.

“Thanks to the new data we have collected, this mother will share her wisdom with us for years to come. She will continue to help balance fish populations in ocean waters, and we look forward to learning more from this wise guardian of the ecosystem around us.” the organization said in a statement.

It is worth noting that the organization has shared a video clip showing this giant white shark when it was tagged, before moving away from a submersible platform, and the video was quickly and widely disseminated on the internet, as shark lovers were in awe for its size and age.

One of the mission participants wrote: “She really is a beast, I can’t wait to see where her travels will take her.”

While one commenter on the video said, “OMG I grew up swimming off the coast of Cape Breton, I never would have guessed great white sharks would reach this size!”
