Clashes broke out in the British capital over Corona’s prevention measures.
On Saturday, British police arrested dozens of protesters who headed to the capital London to denounce the imposition of the lockdown, as part of efforts to contain the emerging corona virus (Covid 19).
Anti-mask and vaccine protesters, some of whom were holding signs reading “Stop Control Us” and “No More Closures,” marched through Oxford and Regent streets in the central business district.
Police took several people away after protesters ignored calls for them to leave, according to Reuters.
Several bottles and smoke bombs were thrown while some protesters confronted the police, during the protest against the epidemic measures.
More than 60 people have been arrested, the Metropolitan Police said, and the number is expected to increase.
Mass gatherings are prohibited under current lockdown measures in England.
The anti-blockade movement in Britain includes anti-vaccination activists, conspiracy theorists and people who believe the restrictions violate civil liberties.
