A Lebanese military source said: The second round of negotiations between Lebanon and the Israeli occupation will take place on October 28.
The first round was a protocol, which was carried out under the mediation of the United States of America represented by the Under Secretary of State David Schenker, who arrived in Beirut last night, and under the auspices of the United Nations represented by its Coordinator Jan Kubis Lebanon Special.
Diplomatic sources in Beirut confirmed on the demarcation negotiations that the first meeting between the Lebanese and Israeli delegations was of a formal and exploratory nature, and there was no in-depth discussion and exchange of ideas..
According to the same sources, the US delegation that participated in the first round of negotiations was made up of 7 people and the Lebanese delegation was made up of 4 people, and it is the negotiating team made up of Lebanese President Michel Aoun, led by General of Bassam Yassin brigade.. As for the Israeli delegation, it was made up of 6 people headed by the Director General of the Ministry of Energy, and the United Nations delegation was made up of 3 people.
Before the start of the negotiations, the leaders of the Amal Movement and Hezbollah announced their rejection of the participation of Lebanese civilian figures in the negotiations, which contradicts the framework agreement announced by Lebanese President Nabih Berri and contradicts the content of the April Understanding, and it violates the national constants of Lebanon as it represents a drag on what the Israeli enemy is looking for.
