The coronavirus is close to registering almost a hundred after a thousand infections in Lebanon

Tripoli is no longer the only one facing the virus empty-handed, since according to the Al-Akhbar newspaper it has been joined by the city of Baalbek, which has exceeded the permissible number of infections in relation to its population. The crisis in Baalbek, as in Tripoli previously, is that the city has entered the danger stage, not only because of the high number of injured, but also because of the loss of intensive care beds that are already scarce in the hospitals of the zone.
The problem with Baalbek, according to the news, is that he is in a cycle of danger, and this is not limited to him, since there are cities and towns that preceded him, such as Tripoli, Hermel and Sidon, and others will show their turn. symptoms. This is indicated by the casualty count that increases day by day, which yesterday registered 1,512 wounded, 15 victims and 273 cases in intensive care.
With these figures, the newspaper added that the country is advancing at an accelerated pace towards the figure of one hundred thousand that is just around the corner. And pedagogically. Al-Bizri criticized the confusion experienced by the competent authorities, and this is evidenced in the hesitancy and lack of coordination, in addition to the lack of positive interaction of various leaders and political, civil and spiritual elements, which will entail serious repercussions that harm the health of people and aggravate the deterioration of economic and living conditions. From here, his call was for the need to hold a national conference in which everyone participates, far from their contradictions and differences, in order to develop a comprehensive and integrated health policy that is appropriate to the development of this dangerous disease.
Not far from the words of El-Bizri, he accused the head of the National Health Authority. Dr. Ismail Sukkariyah, the interim government and the Ministry of Health, failed and defaulted in the face of the Corona pandemic and its increasing aggression.
On the other hand, the head of the Doctors Union, Dr. Sharaf Abu Sharaf, called on all medical workers to participate in the broader battle against the Corona epidemic, stressing that it is a serious and fierce battle that concerns the nation and citizens, and we will not win it without our cooperation and solidarity as we did before, and we are all vulnerable to this epidemic, especially in the coming weeks, on the brink of a flu. He also called for the need to equip, support and assist private and government hospitals to receive Corona patients, and work to provide all medical equipment and preventive supplies and manufacture them in Lebanon.
