The Department of Estimates of the Department of Meteorology foresees that we will witness a long heat wave that will last until the end of the week, since tomorrow the weather will be light in general, with temperatures that will remain high, which remain above their seasonal levels for the month of September.
The department stated in its daily bulletin that “local fog will sometimes form in the middle elevations,” warning of the danger of fires in forested areas.

The general situation: Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin are affected by hot air masses originating in the Arabian Gulf and will continue until the end of the week.
Average temperatures for the month of September on the coast: from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius in the shade.
We warn of the danger of fires in wooded areas during the heat wave, and we also ask for non-direct exposure to sunlight, especially in the afternoon.
Weather forecast in Lebanon:
Thursday: Partly cloudy with medium clouds with increasing temperatures, especially in the mountains and in the interior, which are above their seasonal levels for the month of September, with high humidity on the coast, which increases the feeling of heat and thick fog sometimes forms in mid-altitudes, especially during the morning period. Friday: some cloudiness in general, with temperatures that remain high, which remain above the seasonal levels of September, and sometimes local fog forms in medium altitudes, and the warning of fire danger is maintained in wooded areas.
Saturday: few clouds, with a slight drop in temperatures, especially in the mountains and inland, and remains unchanged on the coast, with the permanence of high humidity and an increase in the sensation of heat, and the warning is maintained risk of fires in wooded areas.
Sunday: from mild to partly cloudy with a gradual and significant decrease in temperatures, especially in the mountains and in the interior, and fog forms in the heights during the evening period.
The temperature on the coast ranges from 27 to 36 degrees, in the mountains from 23 to 36 degrees, in the interior from 24 to 45 degrees.
Surface winds: from north to northeast during the day, partial-west at night, their speed ranges between 10 and 30 km / h.
