A large explosion rocked the city of Ain Qana on Tuesday afternoon, located in the Tuffah region of southern Lebanon, one of the main Hezbollah strongholds in the country.

Meanwhile, a security source told Reuters that the explosion occurred at a Hezbollah weapons warehouse as the result of a technical error.
In turn, the Al-Arabiya correspondent confirmed that the blast affected an Iranian-backed party site, adding that Hezbollah denied there had been any casualties.

For its part, the official news agency reported that the accident coincided with an intense flight of Israeli warplanes and espionage, which had not left the skies of the Nabatiyeh and Iqlim al-Tuffah regions since the morning.
The explosion caused an atmosphere of confusion and panic among citizens, but according to the agency, its damage was limited to cracking some houses and breaking glass.
