With regard to medical supplies needed by hospitals pursuant to Circular 573, which stipulates that the cost of medical supplies shall be paid in Lebanese pound banknotes. These notes are insured and the banks concerned will insure them to hospitals to pay for the cost of necessary medical supplies. This decision was agreed between the Banks Association and the Bank of Lebanon, all needs are assured and there is no need to not hesitate to provide all the medical services that the Lebanese need.

He also seeks with the full capabilities of the bank, knowing that his intervention has been turned by the cash economy into an indirect intervention, to preserve the purchasing power of all Lebanese, and expects everyone to cooperate with him, including the medical sector, instead of irresponsible auctions.

An indication that, within a week, the black market exchange rate of the dollar against the Lebanese pound fell from 9000 to less than 7000 Lebanese pounds against the dollar.
