Today (Thursday), the judicial investigator in Lebanon, Judge Fadi Sawan, claimed interim Prime Minister Hassan Diab and three former ministers from the Beirut port explosion.
The National Media Agency reported today that the judicial investigator in the file of the Beirut port attack, Judge Fadi Sawan, accused Hassan Diab, the interim Prime Minister, Ali Hassan Khalil, and the former ministers of public works, Ghazi Zuaiter and Youssef Fenianos, for the crime of negligence, negligence and provocation. Hundreds of people died and were injured.
According to the agency, Judge Sawan set dates for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, to question them as defendants, provided that next Monday he goes to the government offices to question the head of the interim government, according to what stipulated in the Criminal Procedure Code, after informing him of the content of the accusation, while he questioned the ministers in his office at the Palace of Justice.
A devastating explosion struck the port of Beirut on August 4, leaving more than 200 dead, 6,000 injured, massive destruction in the port and many buildings, and the displacement of some 300,000 people.
