According to the official Kuwait news agency (KUNA), shipping operations are excluded from this new decision, which comes after the UK discovered a new strain of the emerging corona virus.

Saudi Arabia and Oman took the same step by closing all their border crossings for a week, in a decision subject to review.

And different countries of the world had stopped flying with the United Kingdom, including France, following the discovery of the new strain of coronavirus, which the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, said that the new change is “more transmissible”.

The new strain carries a mutation called “N501Y” in the Corona virus protein, and this mutation is present on the surface of the viral protein and allows it to adhere to human cells to penetrate it.

The spread of this new strain of the Corona virus prompted British authorities to re-impose lockdown measures on London and parts of England, including some 16 million people, according to a report published by Agence France-Presse.
