In his speech before the signing, the US president said: “We are here to change the course of history.”

“We are here to change the course of history … we are taking a historic step, thanks to these three countries, to promote peace and prosperity,” Trump told a large number of White House officials.

“Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain will exchange embassies, cooperate closely and coordinate their efforts in many sectors of tourism, commerce, health care and security,” he added.

For his part, Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan told the White House that “peace will change the face of the Middle East.”

He added in his speech prior to the signing: “We are facing a historic achievement and the fruits of the agreements will be reflected throughout the region.”

The Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates stressed that “the peace agreement will allow us to help more the Palestinians.”
