In his speech before the signing, the US president said: “We are here to change the course of history.”
“We are here to change the course of history … we are taking a historic step, thanks to these three countries, to promote peace and prosperity,” Trump told a large number of White House officials.
“Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain will exchange embassies, cooperate closely and coordinate their efforts in many sectors of tourism, commerce, health care and security,” he added.
He added: “This will open the door for Muslims from all over the world to visit Al-Aqsa Mosque and Israel.”
The US president stressed that these agreements will serve for peace throughout the region, and pointed out that “common interest and mutual respect are the things that led these three countries to reach this agreement.”
For his part, Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan told the White House that “peace will change the face of the Middle East.”
He added in his speech prior to the signing: “We are facing a historic achievement and the fruits of the agreements will be reflected throughout the region.”
The Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates stressed that “the peace agreement will allow us to help more the Palestinians.”
In turn, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “This day is a new dawn for peace.”
He added: “For years and decades … the Jewish people have prayed for peace and the Jewish state has prayed for peace, so today there is great appreciation and thanks to Trump … You have succeeded in concluding the historic treaty of peace that has the support of all in the Middle East and the entire world. “
