Representative Jamil Al-Sayed launched an “initiative” in which he declared his “willingness” to take over the Ministry of Finance, even if it was necessary to resign from Parliament.

They testify to our ability to manage the state, its finances and our loyalty to it and to the people, and because the Minister of Finance, Shiite or not, must be for the country and the people, I propose this initiative to accelerate the exit from the crisis with my preparation to assume the Ministry of Finance even though that required the resignation of the prosecution in which we could not present it. What a benefit to people, oh God, except that we have faithfully conveyed their voice, their needs and their pain, to no avail. “
