President Berri’s remarks came on Wednesday during his meeting with Iraqi Health Minister Hassan Al-Tamimi and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Provisional Government Minister of Public Health Hamad Hassan.
During the meeting, President Berri thanked the Iraqi Minister of Health “on behalf of Parliament and on behalf of the Lebanese Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi for the support that Iraq has provided and is providing, especially at this stage. it is going through, at various levels, specifically in the oil and sanitary fields.
President Berri said: “What is required today is to strengthen the integration between Lebanon and Iraq in various fields, especially in the economic, health, tourism and political fields.” “We are eager to forge the best relations with all our Arab brothers, and in Parliament we are fully prepared to implement all the necessary legislation that strengthens the ties of cooperation between Lebanon and Iraq, and this is what we already started in the last parliamentary session. ”, He added.
President Berri affirmed that “what afflicts and threatens Lebanon is the same that afflicts and threatens Iraq, especially the dangers arising from corruption and terrorism that point to national unity in the two countries.” Unity in both Iraq and Lebanon is the obstacle to thwarting all conspiracies against the two countries.
