More than 20 residents of the occupied Syrian Golan were injured Wednesday during an attempt by Israeli forces to disperse them during their meeting between the occupied villages of Majdal Shams and Masada in protest against the Israeli plan to install giant wind turbines on their land.

According to the official Syrian news agency “SANA”, more than 20 people from the Golan were injured as a result of the assault by Israeli forces with rubber bullets and tear gas, and others were arrested.

And the people of the Golan announced this morning the start of the general and comprehensive strike, which includes all living facilities, disrupting schools and remote education, and heading to the lands on which giant fans will be built and deployed to prevent the authorities Israelis implement their plan.

According to SANA, from the early hours of the morning, people began to gather at the Al-Yafouri shrine between Majdal Shams village and Masada, and divided into groups that spread out over the lands to be built by the occupation authorities.

The decision to declare the strike came after a meeting of the religious and social body in the occupied Syrian Golan to reject the establishment of the giant turbines.

Two days ago, Israeli forces closed several of the main entrances to the villages of the occupied Golan, preventing people from accessing their agricultural land in the areas where they intend to install fans.
