Today, Thursday, the Israeli army revealed that “the Iranian unit responsible for placing explosive devices on the Syrian border is Unit 840 of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.”

Army spokesman Avichai Deri said in a tweet on his Twitter account that “the Iranian terrorist unit responsible for planting explosive devices on the Syrian border in the Golan Heights is Unit 840 led by the Iranian Quds Force.”

He noted that “Unit 840 in Syria – is an operational unit that operates relatively secretly, tasked with planning and establishing a terrorist infrastructure outside of Iran, directed against Western targets and the opposition.”

He stated that “the unit is in charge of placing the artifacts that were discovered yesterday and neutralized.”

He added: “As before, another similar attempt was made last August.”

On Tuesday, the Israeli army found explosive devices along the northern border.

Israeli warplanes launched raids early Wednesday morning against military targets belonging to the Iranian Quds Force and the Syrian regime army, targeting warehouses, headquarters and military complexes, as well as surface-to-air batteries.
