Islamic unity … the story of a dream that attracts a nation

Under the title “Islamic unity … a story of interaction and convergence of thoughts despite challenges”, Dr. Abbas Khameh Yar, Cultural Counselor of the Iranian Embassy in Beirut, wrote an article in “Al-Akhbar” (11/6/2020), on the historical experience of the unit and what it provided from contributions, interactions and achievements. We would like to say, with great appreciation and respect for the author, that despite the many examples and evidences in the article, reality does not support many doses of optimism and hope. Any concept, and in particular a broad title such as “Islamic unity”, summarizes all individual and collective activities and actions that reflect the level of interest and assistance within “one nation” amidst national and sectarian prejudices. What kind of concept of this kind requires a more realistic approach, the least of which is to look at the state of “Islamic” states and societies today, is it in real unity? Did it move from its place, I wonder? Except what we have found and touched on from a successful unitary experience with the Islamic revolution in Iran, which we hope to activate and preserve; As unity is neither a motto nor a compliment, while our reality is addicted to fragmentation and division. Throughout its history, the unit has been a dream and an example within the limits of ideas, appeals, statements and conferences despite its importance, even if they are formal, since it collided and collided with a set of complications and challenges, among which the political projects and calculations from within and outside the nation stand out according to the formation of each state and society, and the degree of their connection with the exterior.

If we don’t test the bigger rule, as scientifically stated, there is a problem in the validations and details; We have to demonstrate the effectiveness of our Islam and our adherence to it in practice, with the concepts and rules of movement that are fit for life, and that we follow without contradictions, so as not to be Muslim in form and content. We are backward and ignorant. We affirm our ego, selfishness and our isolation from the other, even within the same sect. The universality of Islam requires a true Islamic unity that is translated into projects and mechanisms that activate the line of unity, including acceptance of the other, and seriousness in dialogue and communication with a view to the broad and distant Islamic and human horizon that does not it fears the other and is not covered in any cover, but rather invokes the participants and works at the media and educational level AND the cultural focus on applying unitary concepts in discourse and producing visions and ideas to obtain a new language that is not projected.

Today we arrive at a time when we most need to Islamize Muslims themselves, seriously linking them with the originality of their concepts, their mobility and their effectiveness in meeting challenges.
Unity is a transforming force that unites energies, attitudes and feelings so that it descends into reality and unites the popular base, so that there are no slogans and compliments in the halls and conferences among the people themselves.
We need a sincere program of planning, action and implementation. If we think about the size of Islam, we can set out towards the future with greater vigor, and set our feet on the right path, otherwise we will remain prisoners of contradictions and disputes, and unity remains a dream that haunts our lives. Generations that are slowly moving away from their religion and identity, feeling great shame as a result of an empty and framed religious discourse. It does not provide adequate and satisfactory answers.
Despite all this, and not to say that I am gloomy and pessimistic, we must work for unity, because there is no other option, and because it is an obligation in accordance with the mandate of God and his instinct with which people have broken , in the words of the Islamic Unitarian leader, Mr. Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah. What was not mentioned in the article – and this is a note – we recorded it while we are in the unit registry. It is not fair not to mention a unitary person like Mr. Fadlallah who worked throughout his life to consecrate unity in his receptions, statements, postures, movements, speeches, conferences and speeches, which are not without occasion without speaking of the need to unit.
The problem is not a personal one, but in terms of preserving truth and memory, and respecting history and truth, Fadlallah used to emphasize the importance of making use of the positives as a window to the bright sites from the sites of hope, and make use of the negatives to know the real dangers in the arena to avoid them … it may be from It is necessary to think about an experience after a thousand, because that is our only option for Islam to continue alive and moving in the sand as an ideology, law and way of life, and as a vanguard nation that carries the message of change to the world for the good of civilization … Let us always remember that it makes no sense to think of an Islamic unity at the level of emotion. Thought, Sharia and politics without Islam, because the characteristic that we carry in the word of Islam is not only a facade that indicates the numerical human group that we represent, but it is an entity integrated in thought, spirit and action ”.
Last but not least, we want unity to be a true resurgence project that softens the rupture and dispersion of reality in a natural course that affects the articulated events to which the Islamic world is exposed today, aiming at its security. , unity, sovereignty, independence and freedom of Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, Bahrain and occupied Palestine.
Unity requires persistent teamwork, leading to the mobilization of popular mindsets to pressure political decision-making positions in order to change discourse and policies that value sectarian, sectarian, and takfiri language into a language of rapprochement and dialogue, although this is difficult to achieve in light of arrogant policies that impede any great Islamic unitary tendency. And effective.
And with the hope that the obstacles will dissipate and fade, our destiny is unity regardless of circumstances and challenges, even if that is a dream. Perhaps the dream will come true in a moment of awakening of the consciousness of the rulers or an awakening from the lethargy of negligence among the peoples?
