Iraqi police arrested an ISIS member in the north-eastern province of Kirkuk, where he was showing “killing films” to terrorize citizens during ISIS control of governorate areas.

The Iraqi News Agency said in a statement that the detainee was working to broadcast versions of terrorist operations through social media and to reproduce videos of the massacre and murder of innocent people.

The agency added that the detainee was presenting these videos through a big screen “in a market in Kirkuk governorate to intimidate and sow terror in the souls of citizens.”

He also participated in terrorist operations against the security forces in the Amerli sector, and memory discs with video clips and publications related to the terrorist operations that ISIS gangs were carrying out against citizens were seized in his possession.

And last Wednesday a fire broke out in two oil wells inside a small field in Kirkuk, after an attack, which the Iraqi Oil Ministry called “terrorist”.

In a statement posted on its official Telegram account, ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, but did not provide any evidence to back up its accusations.

Two sources from the state-owned North Oil Company, who asked not to be named, said that technical teams managed to isolate the two wells and that production was not affected.

Officials from the oil sector stated that the field produces around 25 thousand barrels per day. “The production of the wells mentioned does not exceed two thousand barrels per day,” said the Oil Ministry.
