The decision came after users around the world rushed to access it and create accounts in the Signal application in recent days, following the accusations made against WhatsApp in the change it made to the privacy policy.
After the application was removed from the Iranian market, including “Bazaar” and “Miket”, Iranian users got the following message when trying to access and download the application: “This application has been removed from the system by order of the blocking committee” .
On the contrary, despite the removal of the “Signal” app from the Iranian market, many Iranian users still say that they can access and download it through Google Play.
Previously, Iran blocked most applications such as Telegram and social networks such as Twitter and Facebook.
WhatsApp reportedly announced on December 4 that it intends to implement new changes to help increase Facebook’s revenue, as well as increase commercial ads.
