The organization informed the agency that it is committed to the law passed by the Islamic Consultative Assembly (which will be briefly referred to by the law) entitled “Strategic action to abolish the embargo and safeguard the interests of the Iranian people,” that Iran It will stop implementing the voluntary measures mentioned in the nuclear agreement, as of February 23, 2021.
The organization and the agency have agreed, to continue with the verification and supervision activities, on the following points:
1. Iran will continue to implement fully and without restrictions the comprehensive guarantee treaty that it signed with the agency, as in the past.
2. The Agency will continue with the necessary verification and supervision activities in accordance with the attached technical list for a period of three months, in accordance with a temporary bilateral technical memorandum of understanding in accordance with the law.
3. Review the technical memorandum of understanding regularly to make sure its objectives are being achieved.
It is worth noting that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran issued a statement on mutual understanding with the International Atomic Energy Agency, stating: The visit of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency to Iran occurred at the request of both him and Iran. I agree.
The organization added that during the talks, the IAEA emphasized the need to respect and implement the law of Parliament, and the two parties reached understandings, including: the implementation of the additional protocol and access cases within the nuclear agreement were They will come to a complete halt, and Iran will continue to fulfill its obligations within the insurance institutes and, consequently and in accordance with the law of parliament, Tehran. The IAEA will not allow any access to its facilities outside of treaty obligations.
The organization clarified in its statement that the meaning of the continuation of the necessary verification and supervision mentioned in the second point of the joint statement, is that Iran will record information about some activities and monitoring equipment that are specified in a secret list, and keep it. for a period of three months. And if the ban is completely lifted during this period, Iran will provide this information to the IAEA; otherwise, this information will be erased forever.
