Instructions to generator owners to avoid turning off their generators during school hours.

The Governor of Mount Lebanon, Judge Muhammad Al-Mekkawi, in accordance with the ongoing preparations for the start and success of the new school year, issued a circular requesting the mayors and municipalities of the governorate to instruct the owners of private generators who provide alternative electricity to avoid turning off those generators for any reason during school hours, i.e. between 8 a.m. and 3 a.m. The rear, in order to ensure a safe electrical current to operate the computers and connect to the Internet.

Considering that, according to the return to school plan drawn up by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, student attendance at schools will be reduced by 50%, provided that teaching is carried out at a certain distance at a certain pace ”.

Whereas, distance education is scheduled to take place during school hours, that is, between eight in the morning and three in the afternoon, and this requires the continuation of the electrical current to operate the computers and connect to the Internet.

Considering that the owners of private electric generators undertake to ensure alternating electric current during the rationing hours approved by the EDL, which sometimes extend for extended periods, which may require the shutdown of private generators for an hour or two per cooling or maintenance reasons.

First: the district office in the Mount Lebanon Governorate Districts must inform the municipalities, each within its jurisdiction, to take the necessary steps to ensure the continuation of AC power during distance education hours, that is, between eight in the morning and three in the afternoon, and that they ask the owners of private generators, if they are called The Need – not to turn it off during the aforementioned hours to preserve the regularity of distance education and prevent students from missing any of the classes in this education.
Second: Failure to comply with the provisions of this circular exposes the offender to judicial prosecution in accordance with the provisions of article 770 sanctions.
