Several people were injured in the explosion of an arms depot for the “Hezbollah” militia on Tuesday in southern Lebanon.

And local sources reported that a Hezbollah weapons depot exploded in the village of Ein Qana, where thick plumes of smoke rose.

He added that the explosion caused injuries, but it has not been confirmed whether they were members of the party’s militia, noting that armed elements of the militia cordoned off the area.

The Lebanese army also announced in a statement that “around 3:00 p.m., an explosion occurred in a building in the town of Ain Qana – Al-Tuffah district, and immediately an army force arrived at the scene and began investigations into the causes of the explosion ”.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports came in that Hezbollah militia leader “Samir Al-Riz” was killed in the explosion, the causes of which are unknown.

This explosion follows the bomb attack in the port of Beirut on August 4, which killed 191 people and injured thousands, which occurred as a result of the explosion of tons of ammonium nitrate stored in the port, where the finger of blame went to the “Hezbollah” militia to store these materials.
