Today, Thursday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced that a high-level meeting will be held with 3 other Arab countries, to discuss the developments of the Syrian crisis and how to resolve it.
“Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and Jordan today held a consultative meeting at the level of senior officials of the foreign ministries to discuss developments in the Syrian crisis,” said a short statement released by Egypt’s Foreign Ministry in your Facebook page.
He added that the four countries also considered ways to resolve the crisis in accordance with Security Council Resolution No. 2254, in a way that preserves Syria’s unity and territorial integrity. During the meeting, they discussed strengthening joint efforts to preserve Syrian Arabism and the capabilities of the brother Syrian people.
A few days ago, the Russian President’s special envoy for the Middle East and African Affairs, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, spoke with the Egyptian ambassador in Moscow, Ihab Nasr, about coordinating the approaches of the two countries. on the problems of the Middle East, with special attention to the situations in Libya and Syria.
“During the conversation, the coordination of approaches on regional issues was discussed, with a focus on resolving the crises in Libya and Syria,” the statement posted on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry said. The ministry claimed that the meeting was held at the initiative of the Egyptian side.
