Irish police arrested a female traveler for not wearing a mask and for deliberately coughing in the faces of passengers.
Social media pioneers circulated a video clip of the traveler in Northern Ireland who refused to wear a protective mask and began coughing in the faces of other passengers.
The British website “Metro” explained that an unidentified woman traveling on the EasyJet lines from Belfast Airport to Edinburgh had refused to wear a mask as part of precautionary measures to prevent infection with the emerging coronavirus.
The video clip shows the woman yelling at the travelers: “Everyone will die … everyone will die.”
The “Metro” website reported that the accident occurred on October 18, indicating that the woman began coughing in the travelers’ faces before the police officers could arrest her and remove her from the plane.
Later, EasyJet reported that police boarded the plane due to a “noisy passenger” who refused to wear a mask.
A spokesperson for the airline said: “According to safety guidelines, all passengers are currently required to bring a face mask and wear it before boarding the plane, and only remove it while eating or drinking water.”
He continued: “Passengers are given clear instructions before travel and through announcements on board the plane to make sure they are aware of this matter,” adding: “We will not tolerate disruptive behavior towards passengers and crew.”
