After that, Poland decided to expel the Belarusian diplomat as a retaliatory measure, while Minsk considered the Polish side’s actions an “excessive, disproportionate and destructive” response and on Thursday asked the head of the Polish Consulate General in Grodno and his consul to leave the country within 48 hours.

Minsk highlighted its total rejection of all demonstrations glorifying war criminals and justifying the genocide of the Belarusian people during World War II.
