Lebanon raises the total closure period weekly today, by reopening several sectors, including schools, noting that the Corona counter continues to register more than a thousand injured per day, as announced yesterday by the Ministry of Health on 1266 injured and 13 dead during the last 24 hours.
On the morning of the reopening of the country, public and private schools opened their doors to students, in compliance with the decision of the Ministry of Education to resume work with semipresenciales, and the percentage of adherence to health procedures varied between a region and another and between one school and another.
In Zahle, for example, some students returned to school armed with masks and sterilizers, while all students took their temperature before entering the school campus, with an emphasis on health instructions, noting that some private schools in Zahle made the decision to continue teaching remotely until the end of the year.
In Tripoli, the LBCI camera documented the overcrowding in front of a kindergarten and the images showed their lack of commitment to the principle of social distancing, or even the use of a mask to prevent infection.
On the other hand, images were posted on social media from the Kfarhazir area, specifically in front of one of the public schools, showing students gathered in front of the school gates without the principle of spacing.
It should be noted that the Union of Parents and Committees of Parents in Private Schools issued a statement yesterday asking for a delay in attendance or integrated return to schools after the New Year holidays.
