Canada News – The emergency department is usually one of the busiest places in any hospital, but now many emergency rooms are full of empty beds, where patients suffering from illnesses and infections unrelated to the coronavirus, hospitals due to fear to the epidemic.

There is a 30 to 40 percent decrease in many emergency rooms in Canada.

“There are many patients who need care, but choose not to go to the hospital for fear of the Coruña epidemic,” Dr. Gaurav Puri of the Southlake Regional Health Center in Newmarket told CTV News.

A woman with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a disease of pneumonia, waited for two weeks.

When he arrived, he was in such a difficult position that he needed the fan.

Due to this unusual situation, the Southlake Health Center released a unique video, which appealed to residents.

The video says: “The Southlake Emergency Department is still a safe place, if you need our services, please come.”

A new report estimates that there are now more than 11,000 unoccupied hospital beds across Canada, due to reduced emergency department visits and the abolition of large numbers of surgeries, from nearly 53,000 operations.

The Ontario Minister of Health estimates that 35 people died waiting for cardiac surgery.

It is a number that will surely increase, since thousands of surgeries are delayed every week, as the crisis of the Corona virus continues to monopolize the health system.
