Observers from the slaughterhouse and the public health service in the Beirut municipality made new rounds in a series of epics.

The Department of Public Relations of the Municipality of Beirut stated that, in compliance with the directives of Judge Marwan Abboud, Governor of the city of Beirut in the framework of monitoring the file of meat and the way it is sold, especially in light of the Corona pandemic, observers from the Department of Slaughterhouse and Public Health in the municipality of Beirut made further visits to several butcher shops in the capital Beirut to ensure the application of approved procedures for food safety and to protect citizens from any harm after of the spread of fraudulent methods that are adopted in the meat sale process, as some butcher owners buy prepared meat (hamburger, sausage, cold cuts …) and other sources that follow the preparation of frozen meat with the lid removed and defrosting and selling it to citizens as fresh meat.
Detention certificates have been drawn up against the offenders, with continuous coordination and monitoring with the interested bodies to know all the epics that are bought from the offending sources, with all the legal measures taken against them, leading to the sealing with red wax and referring them to the competent court.
