BBC Arab –
The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry issued the decision to deport the Lebanese station Sazdel for “violating public morals”.
The Kuwaiti newspaper “Al-Qabas”, citing security sources, said that the decision to deport Sazdel was taken “to protect the public interest after photographs that many describe as vulgar” were published.
The Morality Investigation Department referred the announcer to the Deportation Department, which reserved a ticket for her to be deported to her country.
In turn, Sazdel criticized the decision to deport her and denounced “ill-treatment by the police that prevented him from meeting with the representative of the Lebanese embassy,” he said.
The presenter explained in a blog post that she had previously signed a pledge not to wear tight clothing on social media in the past.
However, last Thursday he was surprised to receive a notification to visit the police station for the same reason.
She revealed that she “spent the night in the cell, and was later referred to the deportation department, adding that” she will return to the country as soon as her Kuwaiti husband returns, who is spending his holidays abroad.
In addition to her work as a presenter, Szidel is also a beauty and fashion expert. More than 300,000 people follow her on Instagram.
He is not considered a “famous fascist” in Kuwait. However, the decision to deport him opened the door to discussion about the administrative deportation file and the concept of public morals.
