They feel sorry for me and the mourners say: “His soul is in heaven.”
I have no doubt about the vastness of the sky and its hospitality with a generous soul like the soul of my brother Ramzi.
But … how we still need the generosity of ourselves among us on earth!
It is true that brotherhood is an imperative of destiny.
But if Ramzi were not my brother, he would have been my friend and I would have been his friend.
This is how the brotherhood picnic unfolded between us.
It gave me the wisdom of my younger brother, who is better able to collect contradictions and control the causes of anger.
Ramzi, that if he disagreed with his rivals, the language of disagreement would become anecdotal.
Ramzi, who when his opponents reprimanded, delighted them with the beauty of reprimand.
Ramzi, who does not extinguish and does not extinguish in his heart the flame of loyalty for friendship, brotherhood, sleep, companionship or duty.
And if the headlines of his ambitious books that he recently published in middle age remain with me, I would like to recall from his first files, the thesis that he prepared during study time and then completed it in book form in the nineties entitled “For God to return to Lebanon.”
An intelligent and noble educational thesis that replaces religious or sectarian mobilization with faith formation.
But Ramzy laughs … and wants us to laugh.
Therefore, when he held a signing ceremony for his educational book and personalities from all sides attended that ceremony, we heard the Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Fouad Siniora, ask Ramzi:
– Do we understand from the title of your book, Ramzi, that God emigrated from Lebanon?
Ramzy responded immediately:

Ramzi laughs. He wants us to laugh. Perhaps now the sky is laughing.
