An opinion poll in South Korea on Friday showed that support for regime change in the upcoming presidential election is increasing.

39% of those polled answered that in the next presidential elections a candidate from the ruling party should be chosen to maintain the current system, while 47% answered that a candidate from an opposition party should be chosen to change the system.

According to the results of a Gallup Korea poll of 1,000 people aged 18 and over from January 12 to 14, support for maintaining the current system decreased from 47% in November of last year to 41% in December of the same year. , support for system change increased from 41% to 44% during the mentioned period.

81% of supporters of the ruling Democratic Party supported law enforcement, while 91% of supporters of the main opposition People’s Power Party supported regime change.

In a separate poll, Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung topped the list of possible presidential candidates with 23%, followed by Attorney General Yoon Suk-yul with 13% and Democratic Party Chairman Lee Nak- yeon, with 10%.
