The hacking of the accounts of the “Al-Qard al-Hassan” association affiliated with the Lebanese militia “Hezbollah” revealed serious violations committed by the militia, money laundering operations, tax evasion and other violations of banking laws, which they damage the collapsed Lebanese economy.
The hackers published lists of borrowers and depositors names during the years 2019 and 2020, accompanied by all the details regarding the loan value, repayment rate and personal information about the borrowers, while the hacking operation revealed the accounts of the association “Al-Qard Al-Hassan” in all Lebanese banks, including the “Jamal Trust Bank”, which was previously hit by the US sanctions in 2019, due to its financial cooperation with “Hezbollah” and the “Al-Qard Al-Hassan” association, which has been blacklisted by the US Treasury since 2007.
The “Good Loan” association is considered one of the most prominent economic pillars of “Hezbollah”, which manages from outside the Lebanese economic banking system and is not subject to the country’s “cash and credit” law, facilitating its work. to waste the money of the Lebanese people in support of terrorism, based on their registration as an association. It is charitable, but in reality it is not, as it provides Hezbollah and its allies with huge sums to implement the Iranian project in Lebanon, as it provides loans of around 500 million dollars to more than 200 thousand borrowers, and makes loans financial dollars in exchange for mortgaging gold, or placing similar amounts in value. After the economic collapse in Lebanon, the association set out to deploy ATMs near its branches and in places under the control and influence of Hezbollah to serve depositors, to become a bank outside of state and decision-making authority. and circulars from the Central Bank of Lebanon, whereby borrowers must pay their debts in dollars instead of pounds, in contradiction to bank circulars.
