Lebanese “Hezbollah” deputy spokesman Sheikh Naim Qassem said in an interview on Al-Manar TV late Friday that the answer to the assassination of Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh “is in the hands of Tehran.”

Sheikh Naim Qassem added: “We condemn this sinful attack and believe that the answer to this crime lies in the hands of those who care about Iran, but it is a title of honor and dignity, and the killings do not move us.”

And the Iranian Defense Ministry said in a statement that “armed terrorist elements attacked a car carrying Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, head of the Defense Ministry’s Center for Research and Technology at noon on Friday.”

He noted that “during the confrontation between his security team and the terrorists, Mr. Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was seriously injured and taken to hospital, and unfortunately the medical team was unable to resuscitate him.”
