The Indian farmer Bossa Krishna admired the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to the point that he pushed him to create a statue of himself and pray to him every morning in the backyard of the house.
The mayor of his village said the young farmer was drawn to Trump’s “direct methods and frank rhetoric,” according to the New York Times.
But Krishna went through a bad time during the last two weeks, after the announcement of the contagion of the American president by the Corona virus, which caused the collapse of the young Indian.
Krishna posted a video clip on Facebook, in which he tearfully said, “I feel very sad because my God, Trump got infected with the Coronavirus. I ask everyone to pray for his speedy recovery.”
The Indian peasant’s family said he stopped eating to show solidarity with his idol, who suffers from “Covid-19”, and that he fell into a deep depression, before dying on Sunday of a heart attack.
One of the young man’s cousins, Vivek Buka, said that Krishna was in good physical shape and had no health problems or a history of heart disease, and there was no evidence linking his death to his fasting.
According to the newspaper, there is no indication that the White House or Trump, who said he had recovered from the virus and felt “strong” after being treated with a medicinal mixture, knew of his biggest fans in India.
