The prime minister in charge of forming the government, Saad Hariri, confirmed after his meeting with the interim prime minister, Hassan Diab, in the Grand Serail on Friday, that he sympathizes with him and that “the government is not blackmailing the other, and this it is unacceptable and we will not accept it. “

Diab said Thursday that he was confident in the “cleaning of his palm”, indicating that he would not allow “the position of the prime minister to be attacked by any party”, in the context of his accusation by the judiciary of “negligence and negligence in the case of the Beirut port explosion. “

The words of the interim prime minister, Hassan Diab, came after the Lebanese judiciary assured that he was in charge of a precedent in the country that will have many consequences.

If Diab implicitly refused to appear before the judicial investigator, recalling that he had said what he had said about the crime of the port explosion, then the sudden and remarkable visit to Diab by Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri went so far as to place the indictment against Diab. in the “politicization” category, and Hariri declared himself in solidarity with his political opponent and refused to prosecute him.

Hezbollah, in turn, was the first to reject politicization and the absence of uniform standards in the investigation. However, the prosecution against Diab and previous ministers, namely Youssef Fenianons, Ghazi Zuaiter and Ali Hassan Khalil, raises many questions in light of the political tension and an unprecedented economic and monetary crisis surrounding the country.

Investigative sessions are also scheduled for next week to “cross-examine” the three ministers as “accused.”

The judicial precedent was rejected by former heads of government, as well as by deputies and ministers, who called on the judicial investigator to review the constitution and its provisions on the trial of presidents and ministers.

The Diab government resigned due to the explosion in the capital, Beirut, but it is still working because no new government has been formed so far.
