Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton finishes first in the Emilia-Romagna race at the Italian circuit of Imola and his team is crowned in the Constructors’ World Championship.
Britain’s Lewis Hamilton, a Mercedes driver, won first place in the Emilia-Romagna race at the Italian circuit of Imola, which saw his team crown the constructors’ title for the seventh year in a row.
It is Hamilton’s fourth consecutive victory and the ninth this season after Styria in Austria-Hungary, Great Britain, Spain, Belgium, Tuscany, Italy, Eiffel, Germany and Portugal, and the 93rd in his professional career.
Hamilton reinforced his advantage in the general classification, after raising his account to 288 points and ahead 85 points behind his Finnish teammate Valtteri Bottas with four races left by the end of the season.
This brings Hamilton closer to winning his seventh world title.
Bottas was second in the race, followed by Australian Daniel Ricciardo (Renault) third.
And in fourth place was the Russian Daniel Kviat (Alpha Toure), while Charles Leclerc of Monaco (Ferrari) was fifth.
