Ein Qana – Agencies: Yesterday afternoon there was a large explosion in a Hezbollah center in southern Lebanon, according to neighbors who could not determine the causes, while a source close to the party confirmed that the place belongs to him, speaking of an “accidental incident”.

“It is a center of the party in the shape of a house,” a neighbor of the southern town of Ain Qana, on the outskirts of the explosion, told AFP, noting that party members imposed a security cordon at the place where ambulances rushed. “The town completely shook us,” he said, noting that the surrounding buildings were damaged.

The villagers indicated that there were ambulances transported injured, while the official National Information Agency reported that the damage was limited to “breaking some houses and breaking glass.”

A military source confirmed that “initial information indicates that it is a Hezbollah center containing ammunition,” without being able to determine the reasons for what happened. The source close to the party said “it was not a warehouse.”

So far, there have been no official comments from Hezbollah.

The explosion occurred around three in the afternoon, and clouds of black smoke covered the sky and its surroundings. Citizens shared videos on social media showing clouds of smoke.

Local media also published photos showing a charred area near the buildings outside the town.

Hezbollah has a huge arsenal of weapons, including precision missiles, against which Israel, its archenemy, has always warned.

The official agency reported that the explosion occurred in conjunction with “the intensive flight of hostile warplanes and espionage, which did not leave the skies over the Nabatiyeh and Iqlim al-Tuffah areas since morning.” There were no immediate comments from Israel.

The Lebanese have not yet been able to overcome the repercussions of the terrible explosion that occurred on August 4 in the port of Beirut, which killed more than 190 people and injured more than 6,500.
