Hass’s driver Roman Grogan was in a terrible accident in Round 15 of the Bahrain Grand Prix of the 2020 Formula 1 season, but survived well despite his car being on fire.
At the start of the Bahrain Grand Prix at the Bahrain International Circuit, while exiting the third turn, Grogan changed course as he sought to advance in the qualifying, but as he did so he came into contact with Daniel Kviat’s Alpha Touré.
This led to Grojan losing control of his car, with its violent collision with metal barriers, and this caused the entire car to ignite to become a mass of fire.
There were turbulent moments while the safety of Grojan and the track crew was ensured, but the high safety standards of Formula 1, in all areas, from combustion suits, metal fenders, halo design and cockpit design, They helped protect Grogan.
The accident was so violent that the car split and broke through the metal barrier, and here came the importance of the Halo design to protect Grogan, who got out of his car immediately to go to the medical car, and the Haas team afterwards. revealed that he had suffered minor burns to his hand and foot.
We must pay tribute, here, to the remarkable effort that the Bahrain International Circuit staff made in response to this incident, while ensuring the safety of all.
