The Iranian ambassador stressed that “in case of reviving the nuclear agreement, there is no need for a new document, agreement or understanding on the role of the agency, it is not necessary that we do more complicating the situation.”
The director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, had claimed that reviving the Iranian nuclear deal under US President-elect Joe Biden would require the conclusion of a new deal. Grossi considered that what he described as “Iranian violations of the nuclear deal are too great to be quickly reversed.”
