German businessmen tighten their trip to China

Experts noted that hundreds of German executives are seeking to return to China after loosening restrictions on the stone, and plan to rent a plane on May 25 to travel to it.

A representative of the German business sector told Reuters on Tuesday that the Chinese government offered 500 to 1,000 business executives a quick procedure to return to China, and since some of the businessman will return to their families, the number of returnees may reach some 2500 people.

The first trip with businessmen and their families is slated to begin on May 25, in a positive sign that life is returning to the Chinese economy.

The representative of the German Chamber of Commerce in China commented that the first charter flight with the airline “Lufthansa” could take off from Frankfurt to Shanghai on May 25.

A diplomatic source said China offered to allow German businessmen to return without having to quarantine for two weeks.

However, returnees must submit a medical report confirming that the traveler has not contracted the Corona virus at least 48 hours before departure for China.

In turn, the German Foreign Ministry, which recommended not to travel until June 14, said it was studying the Chinese proposal.

China is Germany’s most prominent trading partner so far, with a trade between the two countries in 2019 that totaled 206 billion euros ($ 223.76 billion).
