The head of the “Lebanese Forces” party, Samir Geagea, stated that “the serious solutions to the crisis in which we are fighting are either forming a new government and working in a new way or going to early parliamentary elections or both together. Geagea’s words came during a retreat organized by the city center of Bcharre. The party leader spoke about the general political situation in the country and said: “The Lebanese forces today are not in alliance with anyone, but at the same time they are not breaking with anyone.” The position of the Lebanese Forces is very stable, because the situation is very critical and requires clear and firm positions, and in such miserable circumstances we cannot go in the direction of turning corners. Of course, it is no longer possible to live together, because that is forbidden, since today there is only room for serious solutions.
Regarding the outcome of the situation, Geagea said: “Unfortunately, it is going to deteriorate further, and as a consequence, the Central Bank of Lebanon will increase subsidies for basic materials, which will lead to an increase in fuel prices. , wheat products and medicines, and then the salaries of those who receive their wages will be in the national currency without much purchasing power and they will not be able to cover their monthly needs “, noting that” the economic movement in the country is almost completely paralyzed, which which will result in a significant deterioration of the exchange rate of the Lebanese pound against the US dollar, which means a significant drop in the purchasing power of the national currency. “
He concluded: “I’m sorry, because I don’t have good news in my mind at the national level, because this is the reality of the situation, but despite all this darkness, you must realize that the rescue capabilities in Lebanon are still available. Oh God, to change the governing board and bring out a new class. ” The country has emerged from the crisis and is moving in the right direction towards the Lebanon that we all want. ”
