On the other hand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Palestinian Authority, Riyad Al-Maliki, considered that “the normalization of relations between the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Israel is a flagrant violation of the Arab Peace Initiative, which called for the normalization after Israel withdrew from the occupied territories in the 1967 flag, and the establishment of the Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. ” The Presidency of the Authority, in turn, affirmed that “it does not have and will not be authorized to speak on behalf of the Palestinian people and on behalf of the PLO, the only legitimate representative.”
Likewise, the “Hamas” movement believed that “the agreements between the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain with the Zionist entity are not worth the ink with which it was written”, stressing that “the Palestinian people will deal with these agreements on the basis that they did not exist, insisting on fighting until the full recovery of their rights. ” For its part, Islamic Jihad stated that “(we) will not allow this agreement to infringe any of our rights and constants, and it will never be at the expense of our eternal presence on this earth.” Moving from normalization to establishing an alliance that consolidates the reality of hegemony in the region and opens the door to a new Zionist colonial expansion.
