Hamilton was ahead of his Mercedes colleague Valtteri Bottas, who finished second, and Max Verstappen, a Red Bull driver, who finished third.
Hamilton raised his career win record to 89 and is just two wins away from equaling the record number of wins recorded on behalf of German legend Michael Schumacher.
The victory is the fifth this season in 7 races for Hamilton, who started from first place in today’s race, and took a further step towards the equivalent of another number for Schumacher by winning his seventh world title this season after expanding the lead over Verstappen at the top of the world championship to 47 points.
Hamilton encountered no difficulties throughout the race, which carried him from start to finish knowing that he was starting from first place for the 93rd time in his career.
