The campaign of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced, this Wednesday, that it has filed a judicial petition requesting a recount in Wisconsin, according to media estimates that his opponent, Joe Biden, has won in it, and has requested the cease counting in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
“Irregularities have been reported to have occurred in (various areas) of Wisconsin, raising serious doubts about the validity of the results,” campaign manager Bill Steben said in a statement.
He added: “The president is within the margin that a recount request allows, and we will do so immediately.”
Regarding Wisconsin, he said his teams were not allowed to monitor detection operations at “multiple” locations.
Later, the campaign of the president of the United States announced that it had filed a judicial petition to stop the counting of votes in Pennsylvania.
“We have filed another petition to stop the count, pending true transparency (adoption),” said Trump’s deputy campaign manager Justin Clark, and Republicans have ensured that the count processes are open and in accordance with the law.
The Trump campaign accuses those responsible for the electoral process of preventing their “observers” from approaching within eight meters of the counters.
According to US media estimates, Biden won the Battle of Wisconsin, while ahead of Trump in Michigan and late in Pennsylvania.
On Wednesday, observers for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe condemned the “baseless allegations” made by Trump regarding the electoral process.
The organization considered that Trump’s statements in this regard undermine public confidence in the electoral process.
