The Israeli government announced the imposition of general isolation following the recent increase in registered cases of the new Corona virus.

On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will impose a nationwide lockdown for the third time to combat the surge in new cases of the Covid-19 disease.

A statement issued by Netanyahu’s office said the restrictions will take effect from Sunday night and for a period of 14 days after the government approves this measure.

The new measures include closing shops, limiting the movement of public transport, partially closing schools and preventing people from leaving their homes for more than a kilometer, except to go to workplaces that will remain open and buy basic necessities. .

Regarding Christians in Israel, the Health Ministry said Christmas prayer meetings in homes and churches will be restricted to a maximum of ten people in closed spaces and 100 in open areas.

So far, Israel has recorded 385,000 infections and 3,150 deaths from the coronavirus.
