Following Adeeb’s apology … the Free Patriotic Movement: We have fully facilitated your mission

-1- The Commission declares its adherence to the French bailout initiative and calls on French President Emmanuel Macron to continue it on the ground rules based on the priority of forming an important government that implements the agreed reform program and is composed of ministers who have the ability to implement the program without restricting the government to preconditions that prevent Training, either by form of government or by size.

Indeed, what is important is the government’s ability to achieve and obtain the confidence of Parliament, that is, to form an understanding with the parliamentary blocs and that their ministers inspire confidence and the capacity to produce and succeed, and the Commission demands that these ministers be not committed politicians but capable specialists.

– 2 – The body politic, thanking the apologetic president for his efforts, recalls that the movement completely facilitated his task, and did not ask him for any demand and did not impose any conditions, during or after the consultations in Ein al-Tina , since she did not meet him and did not consult with him later. In order not to give anyone the opportunity to create difficulties and problems, then attribute them to the current and exploit them to hinder.

Now, the commission sees the need to expedite the agreement on a figure to form a government, as long as there is an agreement with the president to whom it is going to be entrusted regarding the government and its formula, provided that its program is agreed, so that do not repeat with him what happened with the state of President Adeeb, and this confirms the veracity of the position. The trend is that in the parliamentary system, a prior agreement between the president to be appointed and the parliamentary blocs interested in the commission and authorship is natural and necessary to guarantee trust; The prior understanding is not wasting time.
The Commission considers that what happened is a new lesson in this direction, not to mention the previous lessons, and it should be a lesson about the dangers of wasting time and opportunities.

-3- The circumstance today is to facilitate and not impose new conditions outside the constitution and the established norms, for example if one of the Lebanese parties, for example, says that this ministry is a right that it will impose on the rest of Lebanese without their consent , taking advantage of the need to form a government to avoid collapse, or that Another group says that the prime minister has the right to impose on all Lebanese, led by the president of the republic, and all parliamentary blocs to appoint all ministers may he deem it appropriate, with an external initiative to impose on the Lebanese what he claims to be their right.
The body politic considers that the need now is for a dialogue in which there is openness and breadth of heart, in which all parties accept that no one imposes on others a list of names from which to choose, but that everyone works according to the principle of reciprocity, which is what the current proposes to the two different parties because in the spirit of objectivity and openness it is necessary to come up with names that are not politically provocative or politically hardened, but have practical and objective flexibility to achieve the program reform far from any other political objective. The commission also calls not to intimidate anyone about the existence of suspicious political agendas that are being prepared to implement them through the government, but to adhere to the concept and goals of mission government, which is to achieve financial and economic reform without hiding any political program that this prepares or theme.

The political body of the Free Patriotic Movement reiterates its wish that the French President, whose intentions are trustworthy, continue his efforts by encouraging the Lebanese to find a rescue solution to the financial economic crisis on the basis of his own initiative, and He also wants all political parties to believe in his intentions and trust each other. Some, with the sincerity of the French initiative and adherence to its rules, is a means of financial and economic salvation.
