A spokesperson for the Committee on Foreign Policy and National Security in the Shura Council stated that “the relevant departments of the Ministry of Security provided clarification on the follow-up to the assassination of the martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.”

“During the committee meeting, a report on the measures taken against the enemy’s intelligence services was heard,” as well as a report on the case of Abdullah Jaab from the Al-Nidal Movement, he added.

He stressed that “the intelligence tracking capability of the Security Ministry revealed that enemies have used huge sums of money to make propaganda largely to culturally penetrate Iran.”

The head of the Research and Technology Center of the Iranian Defense Ministry, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was assassinated on 27 November in an assassination operation described by Tehran as a “terrorist”.

Iran accused Israel of her assassination, and the Revolutionary Guard promised a “tough response” to her assassination.
