Erdogan calls for a boycott of French products

In his speech in Ankara, he said that “Western politicians are covering up their mistakes by attacking Islam and Muslims,” ​​adding that “French President Macron follows a policy of Islamophobia, and these racist policies are mental illness.”

Erdogan also called on European leaders to end what he described as the “hate campaign” led by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Furthermore, Erdogan compared, in his speech, the treatment of Muslims in Europe with “the treatment of Jews before World War II”, accusing some European leaders of “fascism” and “Nazism”.

“There is a campaign directed at Muslims, similar to the campaign against European Jews before World War II,” he said.

Calls for a boycott of French products were made on social media sites in various Arab and Islamic countries, after Macron pledged not to give up on cartoons offensive to the Prophet Muhammad.
