The Russian Air and Space Forces have received the first batch of heavy training drones that will be used to simulate the flight of various air targets.
This was reported by a spokesman for the Russian state “Rostec”. He said the training complex includes a drone that weighs 300 kilograms when taking off. It is intended to simulate the flight of slow drones and helicopters while testing new models of Russian war equipment in conditions close to combat.

The use of the training drone, according to the spokesperson, will increase the accuracy of the guidance and the effectiveness of destroying the target.
He added that the training drone is a multifunctional drone that can also be used to monitor forest and plant fires or to transport fuel.
The CEO of Rostec-affiliated company “Tejnodinamica” said the drone would be used for both military and civilian purposes.
It should be noted that the state company “Rostec” signed an agreement in 2015 to design and manufacture heavy training drones. The year 2019 has started in batch production.
