On the 23rd of this month, Netflix will screen the animated film “Over the Moon”, (directed by: Glenn Kane), dubbed into the Egyptian dialect. The Chinese-American musical film belongs to comedy and adventure, and tells the story of a young woman with a passion for science and knowledge, who decides to build a spaceship to launch herself on the moon and then turn her life upside down. The premiere of the film follows the success of the Arabic dubbing experiment in the Egyptian dialect of the animated film The Willoughbys, which was screened by “Netflix” last April. The title track, “Rocket for the Moon”, was performed by Egyptian actress Carmen Soliman, after “Netflix” published the song on its platform last Friday. Suleiman expressed her happiness at being chosen from among many Arab talents to perform the song. Suleiman is the second collaboration in this field, after his participation in the film “Moana” in which he collaborated with “Disney” in 2016, and presented the Arabic version of the song “I Am Moana”. In the same vein, the Egyptian actor Mohamed Heneidy is active, with the title of the film Onward, assigned to him, as previously mentioned by the “Disney in Al-Masry” page last March, in an anticipated return to dubbing world, after the movie “The Willoughby Family”.
