The head of the National Commission for Lebanese Women’s Affairs, Ms. Claudine Aoun Roukoz, visited Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Adeeb, on the eve of the formation of a new government, and wished him to “ensure that the next government is balanced in their training, including qualified women alongside competent male ministers, in order to enhance the role of women. In political life and activating their participation in decision-making positions, which positively affects the dynamics of government work and the appropriate decision-making, especially in the difficult stage the country is going through.
He noted that “this demand also contributes to fulfilling the aspiration of the Lebanese youth to reach a society in which equality between women and men is assured.”
She stressed that “the need to benefit from the skills of Lebanese women who excel in various fields and who have shown to fully assume their responsibility as citizens during the various crises that Lebanon went through.”
