Al-Majzoub called for the “unrolling of the student dollar. Students abroad have suffered both and are about to leave, and their cause should be an occasion to stimulate their motivation.” He believed that “some do not want education, either inside or outside Lebanon.”

It should be noted that after the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, prohibited issuing a circular to banks regarding the transfer of the amount of ten thousand dollars at the official exchange rate for Lebanese students, the Banque du Liban issued a statement to recall the mandatory application of the decision on transfers to Lebanese students abroad, stressing that all banks must adhere to Immediate Provisions.
